I'm not sure a Venza could handle that kind of power, but OK

NP. Not even kidding. The sleeper appeal of a V8 powered, manual, RWD Camry coupe is priceless.

This is one of the most amazing one off builds I've seen. If I were made of money, I'd be all over that.

Awesome. I'll say it, I love that Camry body style, it just looks so sleek. Kinda reminds me of the Mazda 6. Just a good looking car, not overly aggressive and very pleasant to look at.

That V8 RWD conversion of course makes it super desirable, but 159k? I bet a custom shop could do a similarly clean conversion for that price, and while they are at it, throw in a proper paintjob and some decent wheels into the mix.

Nice idea, semi good execution, exorbitant price —-> CP.

The bases of the car (engine, trans etc) are great! The car itself (body) looks surprisingly more than decent. However, what gets me, is the price the body kit the paint the wheels and the the the.... THE. that's all.

Repaint it in some common color, pull the NASCAR badges, put some bumper stickers on the back, give it some parking-lot dings, knock the back bumper a little out of alignment. With the right mufflers, you could slide through EVERYTHING completely unnoticed. Cops would be like "meh". Thieves would be like "meh". lol I remember those cars. I understand that a longitudinal FWD engine is possible and was common at times (semi-recently: Passat B5, Acura Legend).

However, in the context of a $160k custom NASCAR Edition Camry with a longitudinal V8 and modified rear suspension, you have some incredibly strong hints that this car is RWD. It's not reasonable to think that they took a FWD car and tossed a V8 in longitudinally, only to re-engineer the entire thing just to keep it FWD.

My wife really like the Camry looks and that is why it was on the short list up against the Accord when I was shopping last time. If they had a V6 coupe that looked like this I might have dealt with one the terrible dealers in my area to buy one. Don't need the V8 RWD but that would have been nice, a V6 running the front wheels and these looks would have been enough for a purchase.

Emissions testing aside (which in my state only applies after getting it registered). That engine has never appeared in anything else and is not smog approved. Getting this thing registered would be a nightmare. Getting it inspected every year would require a good ol' boy at your local shop that doesn't care about receiving fines every year for passing non-compliant cars.

I live about 2 miles from the show room and will stick my head in to lust over their inventory.
